Where is Your Fullness of Joy?

Where is Your Fullness of Joy?

Where is your fullness of joy? Yeshua promised fullness of joy, but where is it? Think of when Yeshua told his disciples he desired his fullness of joy to be in them, and he desires it to be full within you. Consider the following verse in John 15:11b.

These words I have spoken to you, so that My joy might be in you, and that your joy might be complete. John 15:11 ISR

Yeshua said that he wants his joy in you, and he means it. Why? Because Isaiah 55:11 says our Elohim’s word will not return to him void but will accomplish that which it was sent to do.

COMPLETE JOY REQUIRES ANSWERED PRAYERS

Beloved friends, Yeshua does want his joy in you. But did you realize he gave information on how that fullness of joy would happen or what it would look like? Consider the following verse in John 16:24.

Until now you have asked naught in My Name. Ask, and you shall receive, in order that your joy might be complete. John 16:24 ISR

Wait! Did you see it? He said to ask, then you shall receiveand then your joy is complete! So, the completeness of joy is dependent upon you receiving answered prayers; the very joy that Yeshua said he desires to be in you! But keep in mind, we are not to ask according to our lustful desires but according to his desire (1 John 5:14-15). What are some of his desires for you? He desires your healing, your deliverance, and he desires you to know Yeshua, who redeemed you from destruction.

ASK, SEEK, KNOCK

Next, consider the verses in Matthew 7:7-11 when Yeshua said we are to ask and receive.

Ask and it shall be given to you, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened. Or is there a man among you who, if his son asks for bread, shall give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, shall he give him a snake? If you then, being wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father who is in the heavens give what is good to those who ask Him! Matthew 7:7-11 ISR

Matthew 7:7-11 above is a translation of the Greek. However, consider the Hebrew Matthew from the Cambridge Cochin MS Oo.1.32 manuscript.

And everyone/all who ask, receives, and everyone/all who seeks* finds, and everyone/all who knocks it is opened. Cochin Hebrew Matthew 7:8 (emphasis mine)

*Note: בקש (bakesh) is an imperative, meaning to seeks to find, require, desire, exact, request, inquire, demands

Three times Yeshua said, וכל, וכל, וכל  (v’kol, v’kol, v’kol). Each time Yeshua is saying, “and all”, “and all”, “and all”; or better translated, “and everyone.”

PRAY, PRAY, AND PRAY SOME MORE

How can one achieve a sense of complete joy? First, it is important to consider whether you are actively seeking it. Second, are you aligning your prayer requests with the promises outlined in the Bible? Third, are you dedicating specific time to prayer, or is your prayer time limited to brief moments, such as during a commute? It may be beneficial to prioritize dedicated prayer time for asking, seeking, and knocking. Consider setting aside time specifically for prayer and reading scripture out loud during this time (Isaiah 43:26). A relationship with Yehovah may develop through such practices.

Furthermore, it is important to notice that the fullness of joy might be connected to having one’s prayers granted. Therefore, if you do not ask, you might not receive. It is encouraged to ask so that a state of complete joy can be achieved through answered prayers. It is also noted that time may be limited, and changes could occur sooner than expected.
